Schooner Landing offers two B&B accomodations - The Blue Jay Suite and the Chickadee Room. Both are well appointed to 4 star level with queen sized beds, TV, telephone, internet access and have ensuite bathrooms with bath/shower. We serve a comprehensive breakfast in the private guests dining room, or you can choose to eat on the deck or in the screened gazebo overlooking the ocean. Schooner Cottage is nestled in the gardens of Schooner Landing within yards of the sea shore. Ideal for a family of four or two couples it comprises a large lounge/kitchenette area, private shower room, master bedroom with queen sized bed and queen sized pull out bed in the lounge plus 2 TVs, DVD, telephone, internet access etc. A sun room attached to the master bedroom and a sun deck off the lounge for those inevitable BBQ's. Within a 15 minute radius by car, there is Golf at Harbour Ridge golf course, where the views are simply breathtaking; Surfing at Martinique Beach and Sunbathing on the miles of sand at Clam Harbour beach. With miles and miles of unspoilt wilderness park at your doorstep, hikers birdwatchers and general sightseers can revel in the delights of the natural setting.

Wild life abounds. From your window, watch the Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Hawks, Herons, Loons, Cormorants and numerous other birds. Harbour Dolphins, Grey Seals Minks and Red Squirrels are all visitors (the dolphins and seals do not make bookings so seeing these during your stay cannot be guaranteed).

Relax in our mature gardens that are well cared for and have a spectacular display of perennial flowers, flowering shrubs and a variety of trees.

Nova Scotia is on the same latitude as Bourdeaux in the South of France. Historically, Nova Scotia temperatures are higher than those in London from June to September. Of course it is colder in the winter,you may even choose to join us for a white Christmas, there is even skiing within an hour and a half drive(sorry, cannot be guaranteed).

For evening dining, locally there is Jeddore Lodge, Ongs (Chinese and Canadian), Salmon River House country inn and lobster shack, Musquodoboit Harbour Fish and Chips (licensed restaurants). Other local facilities include a supermarket, liquour store and launderette, all less than a mile away.

Not happy just looking at all that water? Want to get out on it? By arrangement, bring your own boat(s). Launching slips on site/nearby, ample docking space and the potential use of deep water moorings (all at users own risk of course).
